1873 3CN VF25 ANACS, “GIFFORD 1873B04 RPD FS-301 ALLAN GIFFORD COLLECTION” – listed on holder. Has the Close 3(not listed on the holder), and this Cherrypicker’s RPD variety is hard to find. I see an obverse scratch on the cheek of the bust. Allan Gifford wrote The Ultimate Guide to US 3 Cent Nickels, 1865 to 1889, released in 2003. His coins were sold in two Scotsman Coins Auctions in 2011 and I had some of them certified by ANACS with his collection’s name listed on the holder’s label.
