1871 3CN EF40 Details, Scratched ANACS “Gifford 1871B04B Plate Coin, ALLAN GIFFORD COLLECTION” – listed on holder, FS-101. This actual coin is pictured on the 1871B04B page of the Gifford book. TDO(Triple Die Obverse) that is noticeable on most letters of USA, especially the CA. The scratches are scattered and not that distracting. Selling inexpensively!
Allan Gifford wrote The Ultimate Guide to US 3 Cent Nickels, 1865 to 1889, released in 2003. His coins were sold in two Scotsman Coin Auctions in 2011 and I had some of them certified by ANACS with his collection’s name listed on the holder’s label.
