Description

1865 Plain 5 2C, SF 18O, VG8 cleaned, VLDS with reverse cud at NITE which is much scarcer than all the other die stages. This variety has the repunched date RPD-002(KF-P6-RPD) which has the 186 to the NW. It is also the doubled die obverse variety DDO-006 which shows on the IGWT letters at their tops. Due to the Very Late Die Stage the repunching and doubling are now mushy and not easy to see. The reverse has the full serif upper serif D and is rotated clockwise to about 12:45. The reverse cud is listed in The Cud Book as variety TCC-1865-5RA&B.
