1865 Plain 5 2C “-a” VF30, darker areas on both left sides and a light reverse spot above TS. There is nice color elsewhere and just some small scattered marks. There is no upper serif on the D of UNITED. Very few of this variety, 1865p-a, have been found over the decades of searching/research so it is fair to assume it is very rare!
