Other Coin Types

The other coin types that usually are collected with the Three Cent Nickel series are also known as the odd denominations.

Two Cent Pieces 1864-1873 Three Cent Silver (also known as Trimes) 1851-1873 and sometimes the Twenty Cent Pieces 1875-1878 Half Cents  1793-1857 are sometimes considered an odd denomination but they are normally collected with the Large Cents, not the 2c, 3c, & 20c series.

Three Cent Silver – Trimes
Type 1 – No outlines in star (75% Silver, 25% Copper, the only time this composition was used)
